Envisioning Spaces: “We create environments that recognize their context and place and try imagine how people use spaces and adapt it to make it their own. Good design is innovative, bold as well as simple, understandable and honest, timeless, sustainable, and thoughtful and well-crafted to the smallest detail.”

Delivering on a Vision: “How do we articulate our vision? An intimate entry and landscaped arrival court. A beautiful and tasteful building lobby and amenities floor. Individual private lobbies for each unit. Well laid out rooms and sequences within the unit. Great natural light and views with grand window openings. Very useable balconies for outdoor living. Open family kitchens supported by hard working production kitchens. Dignified staff living quarters.”

Spatial Design Vision: “As an Italian Designer with a studio based in a region of Italy filled with traditional craftsmen, we have always been strong proponents of the the use of artisan techniques and materials in any style of design. With Aurelia Residences, we propose a new standard of Luxury: a vision that is as much about experience as it is about materiality and design; of Italian sensibilities infused with the amazing heritage of the Philippines.”

The experience of walking into the lobby: To feel a sense of “meraviglia” - a feeling of wonder and amazement - on entering their homes. As for the grand lobby space - we fell in love with the movement of the Filipino Terno and custom-designed a stunning chandelier inspired by this traditional garment, reconstructing the beautiful effect of twisted fabric.

Design Inspirations: “Three core elements formed the basis of our design vision: the traditional Filipino villa with its large patios and ambient spaces; a sense of natural beauty and fluidity of movement; and traditional Filipino fabrics with their vibrancy, intricate detailing, and patterns. The key was to create an understated but nevertheless sophisticated design that draws from these things - and ultimately to deliver an overarching atmosphere of timeless elegance.”

Naturally, the project is a response to Manila’s tropical climate and daylight, as well as our vision to recreate the qualities of a luxury family home in a high-rise building. By deconstructing the scale of the tower plan, it ensures all units enjoy expansive views of the city. The floor to ceiling picture windows frame magnificent views and dramatizes high-rise living. Custom vents flanking the windows are a safer and more practical way of getting natural ventilation. The protected, deep balconies create even more useable space and open up the homes for indoor and outdoor living.”
